I often watch the world like if it could be remade in mosaic.
Dusciana Bravura

Dusciana always maintains herself in balance between elegance and enchantment, between fable and formal refinement. Her mosaic animals are wonderful: a bestiary worthy of a medieval Fableaux animated by armadillos, turtles, chameleons and emerald lizards, by oversized larks, by big magic deer that seem to be coming directly out of a Perrault fairy tale. It is a contemporary wunderkammer in which there are also portraits that look like votive images that mime the fixed faces with an unquiet grace. Her works have the same lightness and gracefulness of a childish dream; they are the secret of this simultaneously young and old alchemist.
Sabina Ghinassi

Dusciana Bravura’s study is characterized by the use of the antique mosaic technique, that still embraces enormous expressive potentialities. Her works, active among elegant frames and more or less fantastic animals, do not need too much separation or precise conformist borders, it must proceed in the mind and emotion until it finds its own way: the long rhythm of mosaic, with all its rites, it is also an ideal opportunity to cultivate the mind.
Laura Gavioli

…tassels (the tesserae) that become tools to express light. Mild sparkles capture us without blinding us. The works of Dusciana, interrupting the stagnancy of creativity, ask  to be taken in and absorbed by the eyes. In a fragmented, lacerated world, she offers a way to put back together again what has been separated, taking us to view again.
